    The 18 member Paradise Big Band, celebrating it’s 15^th season this year, was formed in Key West in 1998.  Harry Schroeder originally developed the band, as a spin off from the chamber orchestra wind section, assembled to support Emily Boyd Lowe’s Keys Chorale.  Under the baton of current director, Joe Dallas Jr., the band remains a truly “local” organization consisting of professional and semi-professional musicians from the Lower Keys, and primarily Key West.  In the interest of enhancing both solo and ensemble performances, the band regularly features outstanding guest artists from New England, New York City, and Pittsburgh.

       The Paradise Big Band is now a non-profit tax exempt group.  The Paradise Big Band asks that you seriously consider making a tax deductible contribution to help ensure that the 2013 concert series will be a success in all respects.
